OBJECTIVES: Learn possible ways an email address can be erroneously added to the opt-out list
When an email address continually opts out, and not by the owner of the email address, there are a couple possible reasons:
- The corporate email scanner is scanning the message and clicking on the links in the email to validate that they are not harmful to the company or the recipient.
- The end user forwarded the email message to additional recipients who are clicking on the link and opting out as the initial recipient.
