- Describe the process of enabling e-commerce on Act-On forms to collect payment

It is important to note that if the user does not click the button to redirect back to the response page of the Act-On form after they made their payment, the submission does not get captured. This will cause the signup lists data to be negatively affected and may appear as if there were no signups.
Enable E-commerce in Act-On Forms
- Hover over the form in question, and click on the drop down arrow option.
- Click Enable E-Commerce.
- Enable the option to Enable Credit Card Payments For This Form.
- In the Payment Processor field, select the service, such as PayPal, First Data or Authorize.net, that will receive and process payments for the form.
- Provide the information required by the selected processor.
- For example, PayPal requires your PayPal account ID and the language and currency in which prices are to be presented on the invoice; Authorize.net requires your API Login ID and transaction key, along with an optional title to display on the invoice.
- If the form contains any Check Boxes, Radio Buttons, or Drop List field blocks, you can also define prices for the choices those field blocks include. For each option block for which you want to define prices:
- Enable (check) the option block to expose the individual options.
- In the field next to each option in the block, enter the price for that option.
- Click the Save button.
If you enable the e-commerce feature and have a branding URL setup in your account, you will need an SSL cert and then proceed with the CSR request process through the technical support team.
If you do not have a branding URL, then you can simply add the 'S' to the HTTP portion of the form URL.
If you do not have the SSL certificate and have a branding URL, an error will occur once a user submits payment and attempts to be redirected back to Act-On, which also will not capture the submit in the signup list.

- Payment required to attend: webinars, tradeshows, etc.
- Payment required to access content, documentation, whitepapers, products, services, etc.
E-commerce within Act-On Should Not Be Promoted to Use With...
- Storefront web purchases; Act-On cannot include shipping and/or taxes
- Coupon codes
Paypal Auto Return Feature
Paypal Auto Returns are used to redirect buyers back to your website immediately after clicking the Pay button. When this redirect happens, the URL is missing the proper account ID and the page will redirect to a error showing "OOPS - The page you requested could not be found". This is related to a user setting within the paypal account and will need to be turned off.

Using your existing Paypal account, create a Sandbox test account using the link below. Once you have finished testing in the Sandbox, don't forget to change back to the actual production Paypal account.
