Capping Signups and Expiring a Form

AUDIENCE: Administrators, Marketing Users
OBJECTIVES:

Act-On forms are public web pages, so they can be accessed anytime. If the form is used to capture registration for webinars or trade shows, it is recommended that the form expire after the webinar ends and/or include a cap on the signups to ensure you are within your attendee limit.

The expiration feature does not activate until a redirect URL is entered into the URL field.

  • Click Content, and click Forms.
  • Create a new form, or edit an existing form.
  • Click 2. Settings.
  • Enter a value for Capped Sign-ups.
  • Enter a public URL where registrants will be redirected if they try to submit the form.
    • You can create an Act-On landing page, and use its public URL for this section
  • Make sure to test the public URL.
  • Click Content, and click Forms
  • Create a new form, or edit an existing form.
  • Click 2. Settings.
  • Set an expiration date and time.
    • Enter a date that is after the event.
  • Be sure to test the public URL.
