Page Properties

AUDIENCE: Administrators, Marketing Users
OBJECTIVES:

Under the Design tab, you will find Page Properties. Page Properties allows you to define the default dimensions and styling of your landing page

In this article we will show you how to:

  • Modify the overall layout and styling of your landing page.
  • Enable stationery for your landing page.

Dimensions controls the width for your landing page. The Landing Page composer behaves similar to the Twitter Bootstrap grid system, so a few good starting points are 940px or 1170px for a wider view.

940px

1170px

Top Margin

The top margin will define the space around an element outside of the border. This will only apply to the top margin and is completely transparent.

Bottom Margin

The bottom margin will define the space around an element outside of the border. This will only apply to the bottom margin and is completely transparent.

Left Margin

The left margin will define the space around an element outside of the border. This will only apply to the left margin and is completely transparent.

Right Margin

The right margin will define the space around an element outside of the border. This will only apply to the right margin and is completely transparent.

Background Location: Inner

Using the color picker you can set the background color for the inner color of your page. This is determined by the page width that is set under Dimensions.

Background Location: Outer

Using the color picker you can set the background color the any space outside of your set page dimensions and applies to the row as a whole. If you would like to set the color of individual columns, this will be done on the column itself.

The Background Image functions the same way as the background color does.

Image Location: Inner

Under Row Settings you can set the background color for the inner dimensions of your page. This is determined by the page width that is set under Dimensions.

Image Location: Outer

Under Row Settings you can set the background image to cover the full space outside of your set page dimensions, and applies to the row as a whole.

You can set a boarder to wrap your page section. Like the background image/color, you can set the boarder location to either the inner section or to wrap your page as a whole. In the example below the board is set to Inside. Enabling the Customize tab will allow you to set the thickness of of your boarder.

Font - Set the default font and font size for your message.

The default font and font size will apply to all text for which a specific font or font size has not been set. Default font and font size will also apply to any text that is generated by Act-On (e.g personalization information if your landing page is personalized).

Color - Set the default text and link color for your message.

The default text and link color will apply to all text for which a specific text color or link color has not been set. Default text and link color will also apply to any text that is generated by Act-On (e.g personalization information if your landing page is personalized).

Enable Stationery

If you enable stationery you lose the ability to edit javascript/CSS - keep in mind that you are no longer required to use stationery to build or save a landing page. Stationery has been de-emphasized in the new composer for increased flexibility in building landing pages.

Landing pages built using stationery will not be responsive. Landing pages will now be able to be saved as and start from templates, similar to how messages work.
