Using the Data.com List

OBJECTIVES:

 

Act-On's integration with Data.com (formerly Jigsaw) allows you to turn anonymous website prospects into actionable contacts.

When an anonymous prospect navigates to your website or blog, Act-On's Beacon Tracking conducts a reverse IP-lookup to locate the name of the organization from which the visit originated. The integration allows you to browse available contacts within the organization in Data.com. If the Data.com connector is enabled in Act-On, you will be able to purchase all the contacts of interest and have them deposited directly into your Act-On account. Sales users can also view and purchase individual contacts to allow them to further prospect within an organization.

Note: Act-On integrates with the standalone Data.com (formerly Jigsaw) account only.  Act-On does not connect to the Salesforce version of Data.com.

 

After the contacts are purchased through the Website Prospector report, you can locate your newly-purchased contacts by following the steps below:

  • Click Contacts > click Other Lists > click Account Lists.  
  • Hover over Data.com List, and click Open to view information on all your purchased contacts from Data.com.

The Data.com list includes the following fields:

  • firstname
  • lastname
  • email
  • phone
  • title
  • company
  • address
  • city
  • state
  • zip
  • country
