Setting Up Your NetSuite Connector
AUDIENCE: Administrators, Marketing Users
OBJECTIVES:
Act-On’s integration with the NetSuite CRM allows you to share contact information between your NetSuite and Act-On databases. The bidirectional relationship with NetSuite allows the marketing user to push and pull data to keep Act-On lists synchronized with the NetSuite database. Typically, this means pulling contact information (name, email, address, etc.) from NetSuite and pushing Act-On lead scores back to NetSuite to allow sales users to see their most engaged contacts from within the NetSu
NetSuite User Information
Before starting the setup, make sure you have the following NetSuite user information:
- NetSuite username
- NetSuite password
- NetSuite privileges for administrator/non-administrator
Administrator Privileges
The user who will be enabling the connector must be a NetSuite administrator or have the following privileges:
- Lists
- Contacts: Full
- Customers: Full
- Contact Roles: View
- Employees: View
- Setup
- WebServices: Full
- Custom Entity Fields: Edit
- Custom Fields: Edit
- Custom Lists: Edit
- Customer Status: Full
- Forms - Entity
- Contact: All Enabled
- Customer/Lead/Prospect: All Enabled

If you do not want to use a user with administrator rights, or use the administrator role to connect Act-On with NetSuite CRM, the following permissions, at a minimum, must be granted to the user who will be enabling the connector:
- Enable SuiteCloud
- Enable (or confirm Enabled) Suite Sign On
- Enable (or confirm Enabled) Server SuiteScript
- Lists
- Contacts: Full
- Customers: Full
- Contact Roles: View
- Employees: View
- Setup
- WebServices: Full
- Custom Entity Fields: Edit
- Custom Fields: Edit
- Custom Lists: Edit
- Customer Status: Full
- Forms: Entity
- Contact: All Enabled
- Customer/Lead/Prospect: All Enabled
Initiate the Connector
To initiate the connector, follow the steps below:
- Click on Settings, and choose Connectors.
- Under CRM, choose NetSuite.
- Click the Connect button.
- Fill in the NetSuite login, email address, and password, and click Connect.
- The Role, Account ID and NetSuite Domain information will populate. Choose Administrator for role, unless you have created another role that has the proper permissions set (see above).
- Click Login.
