Encouraging Social Sharing

 

You can invite your email message recipients and landing page visitors to share your content via their own social media outlet (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter).

Add a Social Share Block to an Email or Landing Page

  1. Hover over the Rich Text block, and click Edit.
  2. Place your cursor in the desired Social Share block location.
  3. Click the Insert Social Share Block button.
  4. Click Invite to Share on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  5. The table can be moved or customized to your needs (if you'd like to change the icons or the text displayed).

Once deployed, you can track the success of your Social Share by viewing the clickthrough traffic in the Message report. The Rebroadcast number will display the total number of rebroadcasts by social media outlet. Clicking on the number next to each will display the drill-down menu, where you can see who broadcasted the content, where it was broadcasted to, and how many clicks each rebroadcast received.

Add a Forward to a Friend Link to an Email

  1. In the Compose step, hover over the Rich Text block, and click Edit.
  2. Place your cursor in the desired location.
  3. Click the Insert Social Share Block button.
  4. Select Forward to a Friend and the link will be inserted into your message.
  5. The text can be edited or moved, according to your needs.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Create the rest of your message and send.

Forward to a Friend recipients are stored in the Forward to a Friend list under Contacts > Account Lists.

Anyone who shares your content will be included in the Message report under Rebroadcasts.
