Inserting Act-On Content in Blogs and Web Pages

 

Act-On’s Drupal and WordPress plug-ins allow you to insert Act-On content into your web pages and blog posts.
Note:
Act-On's Wordpress & Drupal plugins will not be further developed. It's recommended to make the switch to Act-On Anywhere.

With the Act-On plug-in you can:

  • Insert an Act-On image
  • Insert an Act-On form link
  • Insert an Act-On media link
  • Insert an Act-On landing page link

In order to insert any Act-On content, you need to log into your Act-On account. To do this, click on the Connect icon and enter your Act-On username and password in the dialog that appears.

You can insert an Act-On image by clicking on the Insert Image icon in the editor. In the dialog window that displays, expand the folder for the image you’d like to insert. If you’d like to preview the image you want to insert, you can click the Preview option that appears when you hover over the image. Once you’ve found the image you wish to use, check the radio button next to the image and click OK to insert it.

Once the image has been inserted, you can configure it by hovering over the image in the editor and clicking the Settings button. In the dialog that appears, you can edit the following:

  • Edit Image tab
    • Image Size
    • Image Alignment
    • Image Title
    • Alternative Text
    • Caption
    • Link URL
  • Advanced Settings tab
    • Source
    • Size: Width & Height
    • CSS Class
    • Styles
    • Image Properties: Border, Vertical Space and Horizontal Space
    • Link Title
    • Link Rel
    • CSS Class
    • Styles
    • Target

Insert a Form Link

To insert an Act-On form link:

  1. Click the Insert Form icon in the editor.
  2. In the dialog window that displays, expand the folder for the form you’d like to insert.
  3. If you’d like to preview the form, click the Preview verb that appears when you hover over the form.
  4. Once you’ve found the form you want, click the name of the form and check the radio button next to the Promotional URL you’d like to insert and click OK to insert it. 
  5. Once the link is displayed, you can click the Default Hyperlink icon in the editor to modify it.

Insert a Media Link

To insert an Act-On media link:

  1. Click on the Insert Media icon in the editor.
  2. In the dialog window that displays, expand the folder for the form you’d like to insert.
  3. Once you’ve located the media you want to insert, check the radio button next to it and click OKto insert it.
  4. Once the link is displayed, you can click the Default Hyperlink icon in the editor to modify it.

Insert a Landing Page Link

To insert an Act-On landing page link:

  1. Click on the Insert Landing Page icon in the editor.
  2. In the dialog window that displays, expand the folder for the landing page you’d like to insert.
  3. If you’d like to preview the landing page, you can click the Preview option that appears when you hover over each landing page.
  4. Click the Hide link to close the preview.
  5. Once you’ve found the item you want, click the name of the landing page and check the radio button next to the Promotional URL you’d like to insert and click OK to insert it. 
  6. Once the link is displayed, you can click the Default Hyperlink icon in the editor to modify it.
