Search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the most impactful things you can do to improve your online findability.

By applying SEO to your website pages, you can attract more visitors who are looking for exactly the products and services you offer. And that will likely increase your sales opportunities. Act-On’s SEO Audit feature can help you get started.

  1. To start your SEO Audit, navigate to Inbound > SEO Audit > SEO Audit Web Pages.Click 
  2. New SEO Audit at the top right and enter a webpage URL.  
  3. Enter an audit report namekeyword or phrase to audit, and choose the folder you want to store you audit within.
  4. Click Add.

Update Your Page

  1. Check your report score in the SEO report.
    • If you are in the red, you know that you have some work to do to make sure your keywords match your content. 
    • Also in your report, look at our helpful tips on your description length, if your keywords are being used properly and how many errors and warnings should be looked at an updated. 
  2. Make the suggested changes and re-audit your web page. If all goes well, you should be seeing an increased audit score.
  3. Audit your web page for additional keywords. Use a mix of keywords and phrases when performing your audit.

Audit with Act-On Anywhere

Act-On Anywhere's SEO Audit feature provides marketing users with an easy way to verify that their web pages and posts are compliant with Google’s indexing guidelines, and also provides an easy way to see how your webpage stacks up against your competition.

  1. Click the Act-On Anywhere icon in your browser bar.
  2. Click SEO Audit Page.
  3. Enter a keyword to audit.
  4. Click the blue + sign.
  5. Check the keywords you wish to audit.
  6. Click Generate SEO Report.

Website visitor tracking allows you to track the activity of anonymous and known visitors coming to your website, forms, landing pages, or any web resource into which you can place JavaScript code.

Utilizing the Report menu, Act-On is able to show all website visitor statistics.

  1. Click Reports.
  2. Click Website Visitors.
  3. Once in the Website Visitors page, you can view the following:
    • Monthly report of aggregate website visitors
    • Known and Anonymous People Visiting
    • Conversions - A conversion means a contact was converted from an Anonymous Visitor to a Known Visitor.
    • Bounces - Bounces are visitors that come to your website and leave after only visiting one web page.
    • Companies
    • Daily Visitors (Companies, Known Prospects, and Anonymous Visitors)
    • Daily Visitors (Companies, Known Prospects, and Anonymous Visitors)
    • Top 20 Companies Visiting - Top 20 companies are identified by reverse look up of the IP address. We rank them based on Total Hits or Visits (not Unique) during that month.
    • Top 20 Search Terms
    • Top 20 Referring Sites
    • Referrals From Social Media Sites
    • Visits From the United States
    • Visits From Countries Around The World
