Use Dynamic Content
To Do:
- Take inventory of the content that you want to send for each type of buyer persona
- Go to Content > Email Templates to build your email library
- In the Design > Content step, add the Dynamic Content Block
- Click Untitled Condition so you can set your condition of your Dynamic Content block
- Enter a Description, set your Contact Field, pick your Condition and then type in the exact filed name from your list then click OK
- Now enter your personalized text for that specific Dynamic Content condition. You can continue to do this for multiple Dynamic Content conditions
Remember:
These email templates can be sent individually as an email campaign, or included in your automated drip programs.
Why is this important?
Dynamic content allows you to replace key pieces of your emails in real time based on what you already know about each recipient; e.g., demographics, behaviors, preferences, purchase histories, etc.
The result: Relevant messages and offers that resonate.
Identify Best Practices
To Do:
- Confirm that your list contains all the data you want to use for personalization.
- Define your persona segments, if you haven't
- Make set conditions if data is missing from the field by removing surrounding text and replacing it with a generic message.
- Manage subscriptions to capture information like preferred prefix, name, and which topics they want to receive mail about.
- Personalize on places, activities, roles or life cycles to get personal with your audience.
Why is this important?
Using Dynamic Content personalization in your email campaigns is a great way to jumpstart long-term relationships with your customers.
