To Do:

  1. Integrate your CRM with Act-On in the Settings > Connectors page
  2. Go to Contacts > Marketing Lists > Import, and select the CRM lists
  3. Synchronize your CRM lists

Upon importing your CRM lists into Act-On, remember that it's only a one-time import. You and your sales team may continue to update the contact records in your CRM, so it's important to synchronize the CRM with Act-On. This keeps your contact information fresh and consistent between both apps!

To Do:

  1. Think about the different groups that will determine the segments (i.e., locations, job titles, or behaviors)
  2. Do you need to create the segment from your uploaded list or CRM list or both?
  3. Hover over the list, click Action > Create a Segment
  4. Select the Query method
  5. Add a Profile and/or Behavior attribute

List segments are simply groups of people in your lists. These groups will help determine the content you send to your contacts, and they will play a key role in the different nurturing programs you create.

To Do:

  1. Add internal contacts
  2. Add your personal email aliases
  3. Create direct selection segments of your test list

Your test list and corresponding segments will be made-up of individuals responsible for reviewing your email content before launching your email campaigns. Add your personal emails also to see how your emails render in different email clients.
